The G18 final saw a repeat of the G16 championship battle as Northern Stars and IBK Nacka Wallenstam faced each other once more. Again, it was a dramatic game of nerves, which also marked the first time that a final match had to be decided by penalty shootout. The Finns proved better this time, avenging their younger clubmates who lost to Nacka earlier in the G16 final.

It was a fast game from the very beginning. The first to score was Wan Ajamueang of Nacka. The Swedish girls could rely on their excellent goalkeeper long into the match, but she finally yielded to Jonna Virkkunen's deflected shot.

After the break, Northern Stars were slightly ahead of the Swedish team, whose Erica Klevbo scored, but from that point on, Nacka had to defend more often. This Finnish pressure led to a tied score of 2:2, which was maintained until the end. And so the drama continued to penalty shootout.

The penalties were still tied after two rounds, but the third round saw a single goal, executed by Emmi Lindh, and so the Finnish girls' team erupted into celebration.
